Beginners Wheel - course (4-day) - May/June (Thursday)

Program: 

This four sessions/day class is an introduction to throwing on the potters wheel.

Session 1+2: Short introduction into the world of ceramics, followed by a demonstration to prep and center the clay on the wheel, as well as showing basic techniques on how to create a cylinder shape. After the demonstration you'll have time to try on your own with guidance. 

Session 3: With the process of trimming we finalize the bottom of your leather hard piece; upfront a short demonstration will be done to show how to trim your item(s). This step allows you to refine your work. You can choose max. 4 items you would like to finish. 

Session 4: We glaze and decorate your pottery and cover techniques like underglaze, brushing, dipping and pouring before the final firing  

Included:

Clay, tools, guidance on ceramic-making, firing (bisque & glaze, coffee/tea and a complementary snack.

All four classes of this course have fixed dates. Please block these in your calendar.  Classes missed will not be substituted or reimbursed. 

The class can host a maximum of 5 participants. A minimum of 3 participants is needed for the class to take place. If the class is not able to take place for this reason, you will be contacted to discuss other options (other dates or a refund).
